About Me

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by!

My name is Sue and I live in Cleveland, Ohio with my four cats - Riley, Jasper, Emmett and Jack and my dog - Frasier.  I currently work for a large financial institution and also for a large retail establishment.  I work a lot, which doesn't always leave a lot of time for things I just enjoy doing.

I've always loved nail polish and used to polish my nails all the time.  Then I kind of stopped doing it and stopped paying attention to my nails.  The my friend Mary started a thread on a message board I belong to and it started my thinking about nail polish again.  I bought a few new bottles of polish.  My friend Mal (of Enchanted Nails and Fluffy Dog Tails) started a nail blog and began posting pictures of her nails.  I bought a few more bottles of polish.  I began following links and reading about polish and looking at swatches and bought some more polish.  I decided I wanted to have my own nail blog - even if it was just a place for me to keep pictures of my polishes.  So I did it.

The blog is named after the dog I had before Frasier.  Her name was Ruby Tuesday, and unfortunately I had to return her to the APL because we were just not a good fit together.  It was very sad and I miss her, but it had to be done. :(

I love red nail polish - any kind of red nail polish.  I have so many bottles of it I may never get to wear them all.  But if I can't decide what color to wear, I go for a red.  I am also partial to black sparkly polish.  And nude and neutral polishes.  Oh heck, I like them all.  I usually save the greens and glitter heavy polishes for my toes, since they are most often not work appropriate.  Not that anyone has ever said anything to me about my nails at work, but why push it? :)

I hope to keep up with this on a regular basis.  Truthfully, I'm not very good at that.  I am forever picking up a project and then losing interest and going on to something else.  My sister got married 20 years ago and I still haven't finished the afghan I started for her.  But I am going to try to do a lot better.  I have now amassed a huge number of polishes and I really want to try them all at least once before I die.  I hope I have enough time to do it. :)

So, I guess that's it.  Please stop by again and happy polishing!
